Lois Miller
I have been involved with the Network of Nations ministry since the beginning of the Intercultural Cafe. On any given Friday night you will find me volunteering in the kitchen for the Intercultural Cafe. It is a privilege for me to have a part in being a welcoming place for students around the world.
During the school year you will find me working at Jefferson Elementary as the school librarian. Here I also have the opportunity to work with many children whose parents are international students at NIU.
On weekends you will find me worshipping at Hillcrest Covenant Church. Hospitality is one of my gifts so I am often greeting, preparing treats, or working in the kitchen. I also serve as an online Children’s leader for BSF. It is such an honor to share the word of God with the next generation.
In my down time you will find me reading, doing a jigsaw puzzle, baking, taking a walk or creating greeting cards. (I love being creative!)
My life verse is John 10:10 where Jesus says, “The thief comes only to steal and destroy but I have come that you may have life and have it to the full.” I thank God for the abundant life He has given me. Being invited to serve on the Network of Nations Board is one more way He has filled my life abundantly.
