“For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home.” —Matthew 25:35

The Intercultural Café Meets a Need
The Intercultural Café is designed to be a safe, neutral meeting place for all international students. Everyone needs friendship; the Intercultural Café provides a place to meet new people, both international students and Americans from the community. For many who participate, the Intercultural Café becomes one of the most enjoyable events of the week.
Here’s What We Do
On Friday evenings we meet at a community center within walking distance of the campus (the events schedule gives the details). We offer a place to make friends and become part of an extended family, to practice English and learn about American culture.
Each week we provide a simple meal with the help of local church groups. Around the table we have a time of informal conversation, and each week there is a special program and topics for discussion. We sometimes feature music, holiday celebrations, or an opportunity for students to showcase their own culture.
